Ana M. Carbonell

Ana M. Carbonell is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Hispanic Nexo, LLC, a Florida based public affairs and political strategy consulting firm and Founder of The Factor, Inc.Ms. Carbonell possesses unique expertise resulting from her over twenty years of public policy, political and legislative experience. Ms. Carbonell started her professional career in the Florida Legislature. She has successfully managed numerous political campaigns and public affairs initiatives in Florida. In 2010 and 2014, Ms. Carbonell oversaw the successful statewide multi-million dollar Hispanic media campaign and messaging strategy for Florida’s Governor Rick Scott.  Consequently, she is the recipient of two Reed Awards by Campaign &Elections for her creative advertisement work during the 2014 election cycle.

 

Throughout her years of public service as a Congressional Chief of Staff, Ms. Carbonell spearheaded numerous legislative initiatives, including the passage of the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA), which granted legal immigrant status to hundreds of thousands of hardworking Central Americans in the United States.

 

In 2004, Ms. Carbonell managed for the Florida Republican Party the GOTV and media plan. Ms. Carbonell worked on the team that devised the strategy for President Bush to win the majority of the Hispanic vote in the state of Florida. In 2008, Ms. Carbonell was responsible for the winning campaign that reelected Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart to Congress by a 20 point margin, against a multi-million dollar independent expenditure effort. Some of Ms. Carbonell’s more recent political clients include Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, Agricultural Commission Adam Putnam and numerous Congressional candidates.

 

In 2011, Ms. Carbonell was hired by the Romney for President Campaign to oversee the vote effort and messaging strategy during the Florida Presidential Primary. After a successful Florida Primary, Ms. Carbonell was asked to serve as the General Consultant for the Presidential Campaign’s national Hispanic effort.

 

Ms. Carbonell is deeply committed to service. She was responsible for volunteer initiative in South Florida known as “One Nation,” which assisted over 100,000 individuals with the process of becoming naturalized citizens of the United States. Ms. Carbonell currently serves on the Board of the Centro Mater Foundation and the U.S. Cuba Democracy PAC.

 

Ana hosted a radio program in one of South Florida’s most popular radio stations and is a regular guest as a political analyst on numerous radio and television programs.
